Twilight, Birds out now

Twilight, Birds is the first release for Lost Lights, out now.

Guitar, field recordings, and photography by Michael Rodgers, on the theme of twilight . . . and birds!

It consists of a hand-stamped stamped 3"CD, 7 colour photographs, a printed postcard and printed envelope. Hand-numbered edition of 150 copies. Been getting some good reviews in already - you can see more info on the catalogue page.

Lost Lights in 2010

2010 sees the long-awaited launch of Lost Lights! The full title is probably 'Lost Lights Audio Visual Projects', as the focus is on releasing works that involve audio and visual media together.

I really wanted to get the project running in 2009, but last year I bought my first home and got married. Yes, I rate shelter and the union of souls more highly than art ...

First release is 'Twilight, Birds' by Michael Rodgers. Guitar, field recordings, and still photography.

Next up this year is 'A Thousand Things', a video about life in the city based on still images. Also working on a project investigating the qualities of the harmonica.
